My Top Favorite Oils I Love To Use For Strong And Shiny Hair

Today's post is going to focus on natural oils that we can use for our hair. Whether you want to grow longer hair, tame frizz, repair damage, or even treat dandruff, I'm going to be sharing my top 5 favorite oils and I'm also going to show you how I use them.

One of the best oils to use to grow longer hair faster is Castor Oil. It has a thick and sticky consistency but it's full of nutrients that promote hair growth and strengthen the hair. It's also one of the best remedies for hair loss. There are lots of testimonials all over the internet from people who grew their hair 3 to 5 times the normal rate, and when I personally use this, my hair grows about an inch over a four-week period applying it twice a week. My favorite way of applying this is by mixing it with a little bit of coconut oil. This way the consistency isn't so sticky and plus, coconut oil is amazing for the hair as well. First I spray the roots of my hair with a little bit of water and then I split my hair into sections and I start massaging this into the scalp. Massaging also stimulates blood circulation and hair growth. The only downside to this oil is that it can be challenging to wash out, but just remember to shampoo your hair twice and that should do the trick. Once I've applied this thoroughly, I cover my hair and leave it in for at least one hour, but the longer you leave it in, the better.

My favorite oil to use to make my hair extra soft and shiny is Olive Oil. It contains fatty acids that are especially nutritious for the hair. It's perfect to use if you're looking for an oil that isn't so heavy but still full of benefits. It helps to soften frizz and nourish dry damaged hair by bringing moisture back to it and it leaves it really healthy and super shiny. I like to apply this to the ends of my hair working it in slowly and making sure it's completely covered. To help it really soak into the strands, I cover my hair with a plastic bag and I leave this in for about half an hour and then I wash it off.

Jojoba Oil is rich in vitamin E and fatty acids that make it ideal to nourish the hair. This oil was perfect to use for split ends - just take a few drops in your hands and apply this to the ends of the hair. This will help to seal them to prevent further breakage and it keeps your hair really soft and healthy. I personally like doing this at night before I go to bed.

If you're looking for an all-in-one hair product, Coconut Oil is probably all you need. It not only has deep conditioning properties that will moisturize and repair damage, but it also fights frizz, promotes hair growth, and treats dandruff, and even lice thanks to its antifungal and antibacterial properties. This is my go-to when I want to really deep condition my hair and all I do is melt the coconut oil using the double boiler method and then I dampen my hair so the oil will fully penetrate the hair shaft. Then I just massage this into the scalp and apply it throughout my hair making sure my roots and ends are completely covered. Once it's evenly distributed, I put a shower cap or a plastic bag and I leave the scent for at least 30 minutes and then shampoo as usual.

Almond Oil is great to use as a natural leave-in conditioner. It's loaded with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that help restore and promote healthy hair. It's also very lightweight so it won't leave your hair looking greasy but you also don't want to go overboard - you just need a very small amount. Take a few drops and rub this into the fingertips and then run your fingers down your hair, mostly concentrating on the last few inches. Then brush your hair to make sure the oil is evenly distributed.

Those are my top 5 favorite oils to use and oil in your hair is honestly one of the best ways to keep it really healthy and hydrated and super shiny. A lot of people ask me how I keep my hair so shiny and that's what I do - oiling my hair is part of my weekly routine. Let me know in the comments below what your favorite hair oil is and also don't forget to share this with your friends.
